Charanjit Singh Channi is a politician in Punjab (India). Currently the Chief Minister of Punjab, he is a member of the Indian National Congress. Previously, he served as the Minister of Technical Education in the second government of Amarinder Singh and was a leader of the opposition in the Punjab Legislative Assembly.
In the last Punjab assembly elections, the Congress party has declared its candidates for the state’s upcoming general elections. This time, Channi will contest from two seats and also declared as CM Candidate by Rahul Gandhi. As a candidate, he will file nomination papers on Monday.
