Yahoo Mail service has become one of the best email services that come with outstanding storage space and some outstanding features. This email service supports both devices, Desktop and Mobile. It comes with easy login and setup steps. Yahoo mail provides free email accounts along with 1TB of online storage at the yahoo.com, rocketmil.com, and ymail.com domains. To gain the benefits of this email service, users need to set up Yahoo Mail account.
On Mobile
- First of all, open the Yahoo Mail and for that, tap on the Yahoo Mail app icon that looks like a white envelope and the phrase ‘Yahoo’ on a dark-purple background
- Now, tap on Yahoo Mail and the purple Yahoo Mail icon appears in the middle of the page
- Tap on Sign up which is a link that appears at the bottom of the screen. It will open the account creation form
- In the appeared form, just enter the account details, type the following information:
- First name
- Last name
- Email address – the preferred Yahoo email address. If the email address is already taken then enter a different one
- Password
- Mobile phone number- without a mobile number, you cannot create a Yahoo account
- Birthdate (day, month, and year)
- Tap on Continue that appears with the blue button at the bottom of the screen
- If the user ignored to fill up any of the required domain or the chosen username is not available then the user will not be able to proceed unless the issues aren’t corrected
- Tap on Text me an Account Key and then Yahoo will send a text code to the provided mobile number
- Alternatively, tap on Call me with an Account Key to get a call from the Yahoo and recite the code
- Recover the verification code and open the messaging app on phone, look for and open the message from the Yahoo and re-check the five-digit security code in the message
- If the user chose the call option, then wait for the ring then answer the call and listen to the recited number
- Enter the code into the ‘Verify’ domain that appears in the middle of the screen just below the ‘Enter the Account Key’
- Tap on Verify that appears like blue button near the middle of the screen
- Now, tap on ‘Let’s get started’ and doing this will take to the Yahoo inbox and which is finally set up and ready to use
On Desktop
- Open Yahoo by visiting yahoo.com in the trusted browser to open the Yahoo main page
- Click on Sign in that appears on the top-right corner of the page to the left of the bell icon
- Now, click on Sign up and this link appears next to the ‘Don’t have an account?” option in the bottom right side of the page
- Enter the account details and fill the following information:
- First name
- Last name
- Email address – the preferred Yahoo email address. If the email address is already taken then enter a different one
- Password
- Mobile phone number- without a mobile number, you cannot create a Yahoo account
- Birthdate (day, month, and year)
- Gender (if the user likes to enter this field)
- Now, click on Continue that appears like a blue button at the bottom of the page
- If the user has ignored to fill any of the required field or the chosen username isn’t available then, the user will not be able to go ahead unless they fill all required field or replaced username with one which hasn’t been taken
- Now, click on ‘Text me an Account Key’ the blue-button appears is in the middle of the page. Doing this will ask Yahoo to text a code to the entered mobile number of the user
- The user can also tap on Call me with an Account Key to get the Yahoo call and recite the code
- Recover the verification code and open the phone messages app and open the message from the Yahoo and re-check the five-digit security code in the message
- Yahoo will call if the user has chosen Call option and wait for the phone to ring and then answer the call and listen to the recited number
- Enter the code into the ‘Verify’ domain that appears in the middle of the page
- Click on Verify option that appears just like blue button near the middle of the screen
- Click on let’s get started and doing this will take the user back to the Yahoo main page
- Click on Mail that appears below the purple envelope icon in the top-right corner of the Yahoo home page and this will open the Yahoo inbox that is completely set up and ready to use
Before conduct, the setup of Yahoo Email Account, make sure to use a strong and stable internet connection. Also, use a trusted browser for Yahoo Setup on Browser and download Yahoo from Play Store (Android) or App Store (iPhone) to avoid any duplicate app.
