Pick the herbs instead of the tree berry and you wish to do. This way you get some herbs to the first herblore levels. And as others advocated, keep questing the lower/beginner quests. They’ll give some great xp to begin, and you need them anyhow for the later quests like the End of Plague that unlocks Prifddinas. Additionally a lot of information can be located in the OSRS gold wiki. Stuck on pursuit? Wiki. Skill guides? Wiki. Money? You guessed it.
OSRS is coming to console
In the latest OSRS Modcast (Leadership Q & A), Mod MikeD suggested that his vision was”becoming more players to play Runescape”. When he is talking about his eyesight, he’s very cautious with his word choice and that I believe accidently let something slip. “So the way we could offer, um. Haha I gotta. I’m in a real sweet spot here. I gotta be certain that we get it more players palms”.When he talks about getting it on”distinct” I believe he’s referring to consoles / devices (mobile is currently something ). He admits earlier from the stream.
OSRS would be shit on games console. Unless youre playing with it with 5000 sensitivity and you have the accuracy of Jesus himself, you wouldn’t be able to do much of anything. Just using the lender and putting on gear would be awful. The reality of this is that it is not a game intended to be played with a control lol, although it can seem to be a fun niche idea. I think it would work. I dunno might continue to be difficult to learn at first but you might key bind items to buttons to change with distinct stored presets for dif bosses and move together with the directional pad.
Since everyone is gonna run to go purchase the adapter to get MKB on their own console to perform OSRS. Runescape is not for console. I mean to port it over to console wouldn’t be easy. The amount of effort that would need to go into it could take ages for one, and for 2 it wouldnt be effective in any way. And it could be a waste of resources and time because its not like they’d boost their participant base by a significant amount using a console port. Having it on computer and mobile is fine. Not to mention could they even scale Runescape on console lol. It wouldnt work. And by saying to simply use a MKB service, the goal would be defeated.
If they put in the effort to make it available on consoles they enhance the client and would surely scale the ui. Because they dont have the opportunity to do this so surely they’d have enough time to spend on making it feasible for console. Honestly dude I’ll say this for the very last time, they’d have to do much to much to vent it to console. It simply would not do the job, also it would be a complete waste to even try it. The purpose of ports is that you get gamers who use controls. Saying they would have to use a MKB is just stupid. And I like how you reply every time and ignore everything else. Anyone who thinks Runescape would function on games console is clueless.
I need the devs to be able to make more content they desire, although I love this game. The polling system is nice but it makes Runescape lack direction imo. Idk man, I’d rather be safe than sorry, the first game had complete freedom and most of us know how that ended, where do we draw the line? Right, but EOC wouldn’t have forced it even 40%. Eventually a Jagex parent business will look at the development cost for articles that never makes it into Runescape and either scrape the polling system completely or cut on the development to the point where they can barely produce new content.
