Tips for Decorating your Urban Garden

A garden, little or large, is one of the best places to unwind and breathe in fresh air even in the concrete jungles beaming with toxins. You can turn your apartment’s veranda or front porch into your very own bubble of greenery to focus on your morning yoga or for enjoying your cuppa after a long workday. However, with the right decorative items and a little creativity you can turn your terrace into the very cynosure of your home. Here are some tips to give your urban garden a glamorous make-over.

1. Pretty Planters

Create interest by incorporating planters of a variety of styles, shapes and sizes some on stands, some without it while some are kept hanging. In terms of shapes, you can go for spherical one, half moons as well as triangular cones. But when you are playing so much with the shapes and sizes make sure to stick to a similar color family to get a cohesive end result. We have spotted some incredible muted gold hues online which are worth investing in to completely glam up your garden.

2. LIT it up

Lighting not only does the basic job of illuminating the entire space but also acts as an element of interest. Get a few beautiful hexagonal glass lanterns in different sizes. Hang some from the ceiling with either bulb attachments or stuff some twinkling fairy lights within it. Keep a few clubbed together in a duo or trio on the table or on any raised platform and put scented candles inside and light them up for some relaxing aroma therapy. The golden of the pots will reflect off the light perfectly to give you a fascinating golden glow even when the sun is down.

3. Introduce some furnishing

Keep the look organic and as close to nature as possible and opt for weaved puff in a shade of green to melt with its surrounding perfectly. Add a jute rug underneath to play the role of a carpet and add a bohemian touch to the entire look. A jute rug is much compact, easier to clean and does the job of a carpet without the hassle. A small wooden coffee table in the centre will bring everything together and make for a great corner to chat with a few friends.

Tips to pick the right Plants
