Are you not a big fan of humidity and would prefer to live in a dry climate? Do constant views of the desert and its unique vegetation and wildlife inspire you? Does the thought of living with year-round sunshine get you energized and motivated? Does the balance of urban living and outdoor activities sound like a good way of life? If you were giving positive responses to these questions, think about moving to Arizona. The dry, hot climate of the state makes it an ideal environment for beautiful desert life. You can experience much of desert life by living in the states largest city – Phoenix. Phoenix’s “Valley of the Sun” nick-name comes from its location in the Salt River Valley. On an annual basis, Phoenix receives more sunshine that any major city on earth. It is sunny about 300 days of the year, with 100 of those days getting above 100 degrees. If you like to be outdoors you can frequent the Phoenix Zoo and Botanical Gardens. Other days can be spent in the United State’s largest municipal park – Mountain Park. Occasional weekends can be spent by taking a drive to the Grand Canyon National Park. If you enjoy the fine arts, Phoenix has much to offer in the way of entertainment. Get your fine arts fix at Ballet Arizona, Arizona Opera and Phoenix Symphony Orchestra. The city is also home to numerous museums and arenas to listen to all types of music. You may want to find a job before looking for Phoenix movers to help you relocate. Fortunately you can find many career opportunities in the greater Phoenix area. PetSmart, Freeport-McMoRan, Republic Services and Avnet are Fortune 500 companies looking for staff. Companies like Intel, U-HAUL, Best Western and Apollo Group employ many more thousands. Nearby cities of Scottsdale and Tempe also have top employers offering jobs. Top employers in Tempe include Arizona State University, State Farm and Honeywell. Top employers in Scottsdale include Honor Health, CVS Health and the Mayo Clinic. Tucson may be more your speed if you prefer milder weather and laid back living. The weather is milder in Tucson due to its higher elevation when compared to Phoenix. Summer days are still hot (100+ degrees), but evenings and the winter months are cooler. Five different mountain ranges surround the city, which make for very scenic views. Regardless of your lifestyle preference, you can find a suburban, rural or urban option. If you prefer to bike around, you will enjoy navigating the bike-friendly streets of Central Tucson. Tucson is home to numerous resorts, country clubs and golf courses for your enjoyment. If you prefer more nature-related outings you can frequent nearby Saguaro National Park. If lifestyle options aren’t enough to get you calling Tucson movers, consider the career opportunities. Tucson is by no means a small city – the surrounding area is home to about 1 million. The fact that Tucson is the 2nd largest city in AZ, you will have many job options. Davis-Monthan Air Force base and the University of Arizona are top Tucson employers. Aerospace-related firms Raytheon Missile Systems, Honeywell and Bombardier are big employers. Intuit, Texas Instruments and IBM are some of the other big-name tech employers. Arizona is a top relocation destination in the U.S. – due in part to the reasons mentioned here. Maybe with a little more research you may take the leap and move to Arizona yourself.
