Mr Derek Neoh completed his MBBS at the University of Melbourne in 1996. He trained in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at major tertiary hospitals in Melbourne and Brisbane, including the prestigious Victorian Plastic Surgery Unit. Derek was awarded his Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in 2009.

 

In 2010 Derek completed a 12 month fellowship at Toronto General Hospital and the Women’s College Hospital in Canada where he worked with leading Canadian Plastic Surgeons. During his fellowship, he specialised in breast reconstruction and microsurgery. Prior to commencing his Canadian fellowship, Derek visited prominent Plastic and Reconstructive surgeons at St Andrews Centre for Plastic Surgery and Burns in the UK and Erasmus Medical Centre in the Netherlands.

 

Derek offers treatment in the public and private sectors. He has an interest in cancer reconstruction, particularly breast and head and neck, and provides oncological reconstructive services at Austin and Eastern Health networks. Derek operates privately at the Epworth Network, St Vincent’s Private and Ramsay Health networks.

 

Derek has a strong involvement in teaching. He is a College-appointed supervisor of training at Eastern Health and lectures regularly on Plastic Surgery to University of Melbourne medical undergraduates at the Austin. In 2012 Derek travelled to Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital in Hangzhou,

China with Project China, a surgical foundation affiliated with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, to perform reconstructive surgeries with local surgeons. He regularly attends and presents at Plastic Surgery conferences and meetings to further his skills and knowledge.

 

Derek is an active member of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons, the Australian Hand Surgery Society and the World Society for Reconstructive Microsurgery.

Mr. Richard Zinn is a Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon who has trained and has experience in all areas of Plastic and Reconstructive surgery. He is passionate about offering the highest level of care and expertise for his patients, optimizing results while minimizing downtime.

 

Richard undertook and completed his undergraduate medical training at the University of Cape town in 2003.  Postgraduate training included 3 years of general surgery and 4 years of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, qualifying as a Plastic Surgeon in 2013 in Johannesburg, South Africa.  Richard then completed a Masters degree looking at Lipodystrophy, or abnormal fat distribution found among various populations.  He completed the prestigious Royal Melbourne International Microsurgery Fellowship in 2015, and Royal Perth fellowship in 2016, becoming a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2016.

 

Richard offers treatment in both public and private centers. He is actively involved in training of junior surgeons through his participation at the Northern Hospital and Peter Macallum Cancer Centre.  He has an interest in research and has published in prominent International, Australasian and South African peer reviewed journals.
