Reed Hasting reveals in one of his media interactions that Sacred Games was a bigger success outside India than in India, proving the importance of Indian Content for their channel. The streaming giant stated that the year 2020 they would be coming up with more Indian Content.
The year kicks off with Ghost Stories on 1st Jan 2020, as the first show of the Indian Content, but the responses towards the movie have been pathetic and people didn’t like the film. Later to pick up the rigor Jamtara a series about phishing calls brought some positive words of mouth from big media giants which got the momentum back of Netflix in the Indian contents.
Netflix India upcoming project for 2020 will have some more of Indian prominent creative directors onboard to showcase their excellence towards innovation.
