Lots Of Disinterest From’It Is Not A Big Deal’ Or’Okay

I think both of these are great! Why take them down?Wow I only come for the sub to talk shit about mtx, but I upvoted the meme that OSRS gold is second some time past. . . What’s ironic is that these memes incite more discussion and talk compared to repeated generic shit. Completely agreed. It’s a subreddit to get a game. Relax, mods. It’s not like that place is full of high-minded discussions, it’s a reactionary cesspit of negativity. At least let us laugh around. Interesting, I did not know that memes were censored within this sub. Please don’t delete them. Need a laugh once in a while. Why will memes be againts the rules? The subreddit moderators have this mindset where all meme template articles are considered low-effort and shouldn’t be allowed on this subreddit. Even though it’s not just one of the primary rules, it falls under extra guidelines.

I’ve tried arguing against them on this quite a few times but they refuse to provide ANY floor on the issue. They will not give guidelines on what qualifies an article as low-effort. Posts that use photoshop to modify an image/meme template aren’t allowed yet 1 paragraph text posts are. They will sometimes not even mention a rule when they decide to get rid of a place, and almost never when the auto-moderator does. Their mindset is they don’t want this subreddit to become a low-effort sub, very similar to runescape 2007. This mentality has some fact since low-effort posts can dominate a subreddit because of reddit’s algorithm thus preventing higher effort/text articles from ever appearing. The issue is they think changes made to it, or a template regardless of circumstance, is low work.

All they need to do is allow meme template posts that are altered to a significant degree. Clearly specify what qualifies. When they’re over-excessive and lastly, restrict the circulation of attempt articles that are low. This might be done by providing a warning by means of a stickied thread, and speaking to it when articles are removed. It really feels like since Adam abandoned their group, they have lost their individuality. Proof of this can be seen by simply looking at the top posts on this subreddit and seeing how many of them could be taken out via this team when they had been posted today. Yeah it would be a pity if people became anything such as a broadly more popular sub. I’d miss the hell out of watching somebody get 99 cooking that was shared by their camera.

Honestly, the”first 99 after 50 decades of enjoying” and”X furry friend at just 100 XP!” Articles should really be tagged with some thing else than”achievement”. I get it it could be a significant milestone to somebody but that does make it an achievement from the current iteration of this game. Perhaps 12 years ago 99s could have been really impressive – that also in some of the slower abilities mainly – but at this point this sub is over-saturated with those posts. And the superb RNG dependent, non XP/low KC pet articles truly don’t qualify as achievements either.

An achievement is something you did, not something cool that occurred to you purely . They should demonstrate effort. I desire to observe achievements that are still relevant now, not something that has been difficult once RS2 launched. Finished Master Clue Log after 5k Pros? Awesome, share this. New boss entire record? Showcase it. Hit 5. 6B or completed”Authentic Trim”? That’s insane, you complete mad-man (or woman). But 99s are so common that the achievement tag only feels like a misnomer. It’s partially due to uncontrolled MTX devaluing skilling and departing it devoid of things that may qualify as achievements in the present day but it’s also due to game development. In any case, they have to be reclassified so we could see things that are really striking today. I do not know how they can allow dogshit posts by the man who treats this website like tumblr, but maybe not funny memes.
