From December 27 to 31, 2024, this event is to take place on the ITF Ground in Sri Vijaya Puram and across various venues in Andaman and Nicobar islands. The Island Tourism Festival (ITF) is an annual festival organized by the Directorate of Information Publicity and Tourism in coordination with the Directorate of Art and Culture and other departments that celebrates the cultural heritage and developmental milestones of the Islands intended for promotion of tourism and economic growth.
Key Highlights of ITF 2024
– Cultural Performances : The festival will showcase an array of classical, semi-classical and folk music and dances performed by eminent artists from both the mainland of India and local cultural organizations.
– Pavilions : Stories of progress across sectors will be displayed that showcase flagship programmes of Government of India aimed at encouraging visitors to know about the Islands’ journey towards development.
– Events : Apart from cultural expositions, competitions like the flower show on December 29 announcing winners in categories like fresh and dry flower arrangements, garland making and rangoli will also take place.
– Entertainment : The festival will see the Tri-Service Band and Air Warrior Drill Team perform between December 28 and 30, making it a uniquely military celebration.
