Plastic bonding adhesives have multiple applications. Just look around you and you’ll find them in a bunch of things. Finally, plastic adhesives that have majority substrates of PET, recycled PET and amorphous PET along with paper have been widely used in packaging. Their viscosity at 25°C is a good 3000-4000, and they have an elongation of 92%. This makes them ideal for clam shell packaging (like those of take-away meals) as well as blister packaging used on strips of medicine tablets. The substrate materials give them excellent strength for bonding and sealing.
