It’s the exam season again with lakhs of students competing for seats for the MBBS degree in coveted institutions across India. The All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) is the top university in India and is one of the most prestigious institutes producing the brightest minds of Indian medical history every year. For this year as well, AIIMS MBBS 2019 has re-opened the application process for prospective students eager to get into this great institution. The last date for the candidates to register for the entrance exam is over.
Exam Date
The exam will be spanning across more than 100 test centres across India and will be conducted on May 25th and 26th 2019.
Admit Card
For all the candidates who have registered for the exam before April 9th, 2019, the committee will issue an admit card online. It can be downloaded by entering the right credentials of the registered students. The admit card is required for the students to get an entry inside the centre for writing the exam. The admit card will be issued by May 15th, 2019 to all the registered students.
The AIIMS MBBS 2019 has added a few new things to this year’s admissions. Mainly, the division of seats and the reduction of the number of exam centres. Also, the number of student admissions this year has increased owing to more students wanting to join the prestigious profession.
Exam Results
The exam pattern remains the same as the previous years. Students are advised to read the guidelines for the exam to be well-prepared and confident. The results of the entrance exam will be declared by AIIMS, New Delhi by June 12th 2019. A merit list will be put out based on the cut-off percentage of the year. Students who have done extremely well and can manage to secure a spot in the merit list will be called for the first round of counselling of AIIMS MBBS 2019.
Counselling
The counselling will be done online, like last year where students will be invited to either open or spot selection of the colleges falling under AIIMS. For the first round of counselling, selected students will need to register themselves in the system and choose a seat based on their requirements and choice. The first round of counselling is scheduled to be done in the second week of July. Once the students select their choice of institutions, they are expected to report to the chosen institutes for the verification of their documents and to know more about the course before it begins. Depending on the seat selection and the allotment of the first round of counselling, a second or third round of counselling will be organized by the last week of July.
AIIMS MBBS 2019 is one of the most sought-after exams for students, with AIIMS being the top institute for studying medical sciences in India. Students, who are well-prepared and confident to crack the exam, will be selected to pursue the course of MBBS in the year 2019.
