Agra Fortwas built during the rule of the Mughalswhich is a richly decorated, semi-circular historical layout that can be found in the city of Mughals i.e. Agra, India which is situated on the right bank of the river Yamuna extending 2.4 kilometers from the bank. Agra Fort was built long back in 1565 and due to its red cover of the unique Red Sandstone from Rajasthan it is also known as ‘Lal Qila’ which is a symbol of power, strength and resilience. This is the place from where Akbar ruled as an emperor.Due to its unique extravagance embroidery and hall carvings including its unique assimilation of different cultural sites make it declaredas the first UNESCO World Heritage Site in India and has also make it won the Aga Khan Award for Architecture in 2004. It is said that the entire monument is being interconnected with various underground pathways and mysterious tunnels. One such mystery tunnel founded is the Water Gate that connects the fort to the banks of the Yamuna River.
