Here we are sharing the samosa chaat recipe which serves well with coconut kadhi. Do try this unique and special samosa chaat recipe at home.
For Samosa Covering:-
- Maida (Plain Flour) – ½ Cup
- Melted Ghee – 2 Tsp
- Salt – To taste
For Samosa Filling:-
- Potato (Boiled and Cubed Cut) – 1 Cup
- Green Peas (Boiled) – ½ Cup
- Chopped Capsicum – 2 Tbsp
- Jeera (Cumin Seeds) – 1 Tsp
- Hing (Asafoetida) – ¼ Tsp
- Green Chilli-Ginger Paste – 2 Tsp
- Amchur Powder (Dried Mango powder) – 2 tsp
- Jeera-Dhania Powder – 1 Tsp
- Garam masala – ½ Tsp
- Oil – 2 Tbsp + For deep fry
- Salt – To Taste
For kadhi :-
- Coconut Milk – 1 ½ Cups
- Bengal Gram Flour (Besan) – 2 Tbsp
- Elaichi (Cardamoms) – 2
- Laung (Cloves) – 2
- Dalchini (Cinnamon Stick) – 1”
- Tejpatta (bayleaf) – 1
- Curry Leaves – 6
- Grated adarak (Ginger) – 1 Tsp
- Red Chillies (Sliced) – 1 ½ Tsp
- Oil – 1 Tsp
- Salt – To Taste
For Garnish:-
- Khajur Imli Chutney – ½ Cup
- Green Chutney – ½ Cup
- Chopped Dhania (Chopped) – 2 Tbsp
- Spring Onions (Chopped) – 2 Tbsp
- Tomatoes (optional) – 2 – 3
Method:-
For Samosa Filling:-
1) Take pan and heat oil. Add cumin seeds and wait them to crackle. Then add ginger-green paste and asafoetida.
2) After sauteing for around a minute, add other ingredients like potato, capsicum, green peas, amchur, garam masala, coriander-cumin seed powder and salt. Mix them well and mash them gently.
3) Let them cool and then divide them into equal portions (12 portions).
For Samosa:-
1) Mixing all the ingredients, make a proper dough.
2) Make 6 equal portions and roll each portion into a oval shape.
3) Then cut the portion into two from the center.
4) Then make a cone shape, with joining the edges from the bottom.
5) Then fill prepared stuffing into the samosa and close the edges properly using water.
6) Heat enough oil in a deep pan for frying, and deep fry the samosa’s until they turn golden brown.
For Coconut Kadhi:-
1) In a bowl, mix curd and besan together and keep them aside.
2) Take a pan and heat the oil. Add all the spices.
3) Then add ginger and red chilli. Continue saute for few seconds.
4) Now add coconut milk with water, and take a boil. Stirring contineously.
5) Add the besan-curd mixture and salt. Mix them well and cook for further till kadhi thickens.
6) Once Done, put off the flame and keep kadhi aside.
Final Serving:-
1) Take a serving bowl and place a samosa, crush it from the center.
2) Pour a spoon of coconut kadhi.
3) Top with Khajur-Imli and green chutney.
4) Garnish with Coriander leaves and onion.
5) Serve Hot.
