With the fast upward thrust of the Internet and Digitalization, Our Government took an initiative to involve Information Technology with the Governmental process. This idea is called e-Governance Technology. It helps us ensure that the Government’s management system will be more transparent, as stated by India’s Government under the National E-Governance Plan (NeGP). Even NeGP additionally allows saving costs.

E-Governance refers to combine Information and Communication Technology to provide Government services, Sharing Information, Payment transactions, and Integrating the preceding services for a higher outcome. For better growth at the Economy level, e-Governance Technology is a must in India for both Government and Private Sector. But they are now taking the complete state closer to a technology of virtual transformation.

Firstly Define the Scope. One should locate the scope and possibilities for the development process within the complete population. The field (area) includes traffic at metro cities, deforestation, unhealthy stray dogs, contaminated water, and many more. Then the programmers will cluster the scope and club all issues in single digital governance software. After cluster, the policy should formulate in a structured way. Thirdly, for the execution process, appointing volunteers for sorting out the issues mentioned in the digital Governance.

The concept between 2 E: e-Government is a systematic way of ICT in government services, and e-Governance is functionality that implies ICT usage in transforming functions. Good Governance is an approach to the Government for creating the system as justice and peace that protects individual human’s right.

To understand the effect of e-Government, it has four phases.

Presence: This is a simple stage classified for providing the website’s nature, sometimes as a Brochure ware.

Interaction: This stage offers simple interaction between the Government and Citizens, Business, Employees, and Government.

It also implies G2B, G2C, G2G, G2E.

Transaction: This stage refers to the trade for paying license renewals and taxes or fees and submitting a procurement contract.

Transformation: This high stage means the idea of Governance which involves the reinvention of the Government’s functions.

 Advantages & Disadvantages of e-Governance Technology:

  • Speed:  The speedy growths in the Internet and Technology makes it easier to transfer data.
  • Saving Costs: The Government’s expenditure goes into buying the stationery kinds of stuff for the precise purpose.
  • Transparency:  The usage of e-Governance helps the citizens to know the information transparently that how Government does the business. But Government has to ensure the uploaded the data on the internet forum.
  • Accountability: It directly links to transparency. If functions are available, then one can take responsibility for the Government’s action.

Disadvantages:

  • Loss of social Communication: Due to e-governance, communication reduction may happen and unable to exchange information.
  • High expenditure in setup: Even Technology has many merits, but as another side, it has drawbacks too. Peculiarly, the setup cost is pretty steep and needs to maintain regularly.
  • Technical Difficulties: Computer systems and the Network can wreck down and put a dent in governmental chores.
  • Illiteracy: Partially in India, the people are tech-illiterate and challenging to operate e-Governance through computers and mobile-phone.
  • Cybercrime: Some possibility or loopholes for private theft where data stored from the government forum. It makes the people lose hope in Government’s expertise in the digital platform.
