Install the Netgear Ex2700 Setup via WPS
It follows some steps to install netgear Ex2700 setup with the help of WPS (WiFi Protected Setup) that are the following:
- Firstly, put the Wifi range extender in the same room where you have a WiFi router
- Be sure you have a live internet connection that is coming from your main router. The WPS does not support WEP So, you have to change the security of your main router to WPA2-PSK that provides optimal performance.
- Plug your extender into an electrical outlet and wait until the Power LED lights up. If not, then press the On/Off button which is placed on the side panel of the extender
- Now, press the WPS button of the extender for 2 seconds and the WPS LED blinks
- After this, press WPS button of your router within 2 minutes
- Both the Router link LED and the WPS LED will turn in solid green so that your range extender is connected to your main network
- Place your extender to your preferred location where your wireless devices and router get good WiFi signals range
- You can change the network name of your existing extender with “_EXT” at the end. However, you can connect your wireless gadgets to new SSID extender.
